GAELTACHT SCHOLARSHIP? The GAA (Comhairle na Mumhan, Bord Chiarraí, Bord Thrá Lí), in conjunction with Coláistí Chorca Dhuibhne, is offering a limited number of Gaeltacht scholarships to young members (ages 12 to 17 years) of GAA clubs. These GAA-sponsored scholarships will enable club members to participate in residential courses during which they’ll improve their spoken Irish.

They’ll be based in the Corca Dhuibhne (West Kerry) Gaeltacht for 2/3 weeks during the summer. Over the years, many young members of The Rock Club experienced these Cúrsaí Gaeilge and thoroughly enjoyed their participation in sport, lessons, music, song and dance in atmaisféar Gaelach.

Interested applicants are asked to text their names to 087 6606693 asap. Closing date set for 20thApril (Satharn na Cásca). Please pass on the word to friends as, unfortunately, some look for the scoláireacht after the closing date! Ná caill do sheans! A couple of players have already applied. Bain triail as saoire sa Ghaeltacht, a leaideanna! You’ll come home ag spalpadh Gaeilge!!
