UNDER 6/8/10: (i) Our youngsters had a great morning’s football last Sunday in Killorglin. We thank our hosts for their hospitality. Thanks to all involved, especially to our ever-willing drivers. (ii) The Thursday night football sessions for the Under 6/8/10 groups continue this week…7ú Meitheamh. (a) Peil Faoi 6 ag 5.45pm (go 6.45pm). (b) Peil Faoi 8 ag 5.45pm (go 6.45pm). (c) The Under 8 GoGames ag Club na nGael ar an gCillín – 6.30pm to 7.15pm. We hope to have three teams playing! (Under 8GoGames are also expected to take place on Thursday 14th). (d) Peil Faoi 10 ag 6.30pm. (e) The Under 10 GoGames are scheduled for Thursday (7ú) at Na Gaeil Club ó 6.30 go 7.30pm.

THE JULY COOL ‘CÚL’ CAMP! The Austin Stack Club, Na Cruaghoirt, Connolly Park, will hold its annual football camp from July 2nd to July 6th. Fáilte roimh chách. THE AUGUST FOOTBALL CAMP! The club football camp will take place from August 7th to August 11th at our club grounds in Connolly Park. Fáilte roimh chách.

SHANAKILL/RAHONANE: Wednesday football….6.30pm ag Ionad Pobail na Seanchille agus Ráth Rónáin…..Fáilte roimh chách.
SEANCHILL/RÁTH RÓNÁIN: Seanchill = old church or graveyard or ecclesiastical site = a holy place; Ráth Rónáin = fort or earthen fort or strong place of Rónán…possibly named when Rónán, a Norman or a man of Norman descent, owned the area; Cillín = little church or small cell or children’s burial ground; Sunday’s Well = Tobar Rí an Domhnaigh = the well of the King of Sunday.
PEIL FAOI 12: (i) Our Under 12 Boys (Divisions 1A and 1B) played away to Rathmore on Monday last, June 4th. (ii) Last Sunday our C team met a very good Tarbert group. A very competitive 30 minutes saw us level at half time but the home side got some key scores at vital times in the second half and pulled away. ‘Well done’ to all who made the trip! It’s great to see improvement on a daily and weekly basis! There are good lads in this group. (iii) Games ahead: (a) 10th June (provisional date)…Churchill v AdeS; (b) 17th June (provisional date)…AdeS v Laune Rangers; (c) 24th June (provisional date)…Gleann Fleisce v AdeS. Sunday games are timed for 6pm.

PEIL FAOI 15: We look forward to the finals of the Munster Under 15 Super Touch competition in Mallow on June 16th.

FAOI 17: (i) Our best wishes to Seán Quilter and the Kerry minors in their upcoming final Munster (Under 17) game v Contae an Chláir. (ii) Our Under 17 nine-a-side club competitors reached the semi-final stage of their competition last weekend at the Currans Centre of Excellence. Our boys were unlucky v a strong Firies team. Killorglin won the final.
SINSIR: ‘Well done’ to our heroes, Rónán Shanahan and ‘Star’ Donaghy, on their victory v Clare last Sunday.
