FAOI 8:
(i) More Under 8 football this Thursday when we’ll travel to the John Mitchel Stadium for the last round of the GoGames. Enjoy! (ii) Sunday we’ll travel south-west to challenge Raonaithe na Leamhna in Killorglin…now that the Cork minors and seniors have been accounted for! Ciarraí Abú!
FAOI 10:
(i) ‘Well done’ to ‘Star’ and Kerry! (ii) The final round of the Thursday evening GoGames football for our Under 10s will take place at the John Mitchel Club. (iii) On Sunday next we’ll head for Killorglin to take on Laune Rangers. Go n-éirí go geal libh! (iv) On Saturday of next week (19th) we’ll make another short journey to the John Mitchel grounds to partake in their annual Under 10 tournament. An Charraig Abú!
FAOI 12:
(i) Our Under 12s made the short trip to Ardfert for this Under 13 league match. Initially, we struggled with the physicality of our opponents who were a year older. The half-time score of 4-8 to 0-5 did not reflect the huge amount of effort our charges put in. Having made a number of switches at the break, we kept the scoreboard operator very busy in the second period and should have won the match but for some wayward shooting.
Much credit must go to our charges who on occasions were hit hard but did not flinch from the challenge. Final score: 4-11 to 2-12. Team: Armin Heinrich (0-2), Niall Fitzmaurice, Greg Scanlon, Luke Chester (0-1), Robert Morrissey, Cian Purcell (1-06), Adam Curran (0-3), Connor Kavanagh, Eoin Higgins (1-0), James Fernane, Mathew Browne, Shane Bastible, Liam Purcell. (ii) On Sunday next we’ll play at home v John Mitchel Club boys. (iii) Training: Monday and on Wednesday from 6pm to 7.30pm. See you all then, men!
