SEAIMPÍNÍ NA MUMHAN: ‘Well done’ to our seniors v The Nire! What a battle! What spirit and courage was shown by our players! What role models on the field of play for our juveniles!
Great credit to Stephen, Paul, John Joe and Ciarán. (And we mustn’t forget Wayne Quillinan’s years of hard work!) Wasn’t it nice to see Barry Shanahan climbing the steps for the same cup that Johnno collected in ’76!
And ‘well done’ to the ‘16th Man’…the support, the enthusiasm, the colour and the encouragement given….and those drums were worth a few points!
Agus an bhratach i nGaeilge: ‘An Réalt – An Charraig – Na Seaimpíní’! The Robert Emmet Club of Slaughtneil, Co. Derry, will be our next opposition on 14th February…Lá ‘le Vailintín. The romance continues!! And the ‘black’n’amber’ will continue to wave outside our church at the Top of The Rock.
SÁSTACHT: The joy shown on the sod of Páirc Uí Chaoimh was wonderful to experience! Smiles, handshakes and hugs…the line-dancing by Kevin and co. and the Billy Sheehan ‘haka’! Sástacht, a dhuine! Agus bhí peileadóirí ’76/’77 an-shásta, leis! And among the most satisfied were the many smiling mentors/trainers/coaches from the juvenile section of our club…those who had trained, cajoled, encouraged and inspired our present heroes as they took their earlier steps on their journey to Munster glory! SCÓR NA nÓG: (i) Tomás Mac a’tSíthigh, Mícheál Ó Cionaoith, Eoin Ó Loinsigh and Ciarán Ó Raghailligh represented us in the recent Kerry Scór na nÓg county final i gCill Orglin. We hope that they will represent us again at this time next year. You could be of great assistance to them by e-mailing us questions (and answers) on the various topics between now and then!
