Austin StacksBUNSCOILEANNA:

Bhuaigh Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn ar Scoil na mBráithre, Cluain na Lobhar, i gcraobhchluiche peile Allianz na mBunscoileanna (roinn 1) i bPáirc Aibhistín de Staic le déanaí. An Ghaelscoil: 1-4; Cluain na Lobhar (CBS): 1-3. Two well-taken goals in the final moments of the semi-final helped An Ghaelscoil to a 3-5 to 3-4 victory over An Ráth Mhór and in the second semi-final the CBS defeated SN Ard Fhearta on a scoreline of 4-10 to 2-6. Peileadóirí ár gclub a bhí páirteach: Leon Ó Sé-Ó Gallachóir, Aoife Ní Dhuilleáin (d’imir a sin-seanathair, Pat ‘Mullins’ Curtin, leis an gCarraig), Alex Nic Conmara (Maurice Mac a huncail…county minor hurling in ‘86), Jeaic Ó Duagáin, Conchúr Ó Ciarbha (nach é William Kirby a uncail!), Cian Ó Duilleáin (d’imir a shin-seanathair leis an gCarraig). An fíor go mbriseann an dúchas trí shúile an chait?

KERRY SCÓR NA nÓG FINALS:

The Scór na nÓg county finals will be held at 2pm on Sunday next, 30th November, in Glenbeigh. Táthar ag súil le ardchaighdeán sna comórtais uile…a great night’s entertainment…and all pure Irish! Each District Board should have forwarded winners’ names to the county secretary, Suzanne Ní Laoghaire (secretary.scor.kerry@gaa.ie), by now. We still need a volunteer for solo singing asap…someone not going to Pairc Uí Rinn!

OUR SCÓR QUIZ REPRESENTATIVES:

‘Well done’ to our quiz team of Mícheál Ó Cionaoith, Ciarán Ó Raghailligh, Eoin Ó Loinsigh, and Tomás Mac Síthigh who took part in the Kerry Scór na nÓg county final on Saturday last i gCill Orglin. Aon chlub déag a bhí páirteach sa chomórtas. The Kerry champions of 2014, An Spá (Cill Airne), emerged as champions for the second time, despite strong challenges from several clubs, and will represent The Kingdom in the All-Ireland. Our boys did very well on their first Scór outing and by this time next year will be able to mount a strong challenge for a county title.

OUR SENIOR FOOTBALLERS IN MUNSTER FINAL:

Best wishes to our seniors v The Nire! Will you be there in amber’a’black and in full voice…ag béicigh agus ag liúraigh in ard do chinn is do ghutha!! Have you booked your seat on the bus? We hope that Barry Shanahan will lift Corn na Mumhan…the Michael O’Connor Cup? “Is mór an onóir dom an corn seo a ardú ar son na Carraige, Club Aibhistín de Staic….!”

AN UIDHIR:

The Nire team is expected to play in blue and yellow. The Nire footballers have won seven county senior football championship…1993, 1994, 1997, 2000, 2006, 2008, 2014 and they are the current county minor champions. A minor/senior double this year!! The Déisemen are good and will be hard to defeat…our/your presence will be important! Páirc Uí Rinn (pronounced ‘Reeeen’), here we come!
