Awards And Victories For Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí Students

GAELCHOLÁISTE Chiarraí were awarded the Cycle Against Suicide  Ambassador award on Monday of last week at a ceremony in Dublin in recognition of the work the students did last year in the school to promote positive wellbeing.

The Ambassador School Programme  is school-led, and involves the completion of “Five Gears” over the course of a year, all of which are aimed at raising awareness of the message that “It’s OK not to feel OK; and it’s absolutely OK to ask for help”.

Meanwhile, the girls football team enjoyed a victory last week. They won the Craobh na Mumhan by beating Baile Mhistéala convincingly last Tuesday, September 11, under trainer Iníon Ní Shuilleabháin. Well done to all students.
