TRALEE Rugby club held its annual end of year celebrations at the Grand Hotel last Saturday Night.
Some highlights of the year were the ladies team winning an All-Ireland Shield and the men’s senior team reaching the Munster Junior Plate final, where they were defeated by St Mary’s last Thursday.
There was also the added bonus of Tralee player and Irish International Siobhan Fleming picking up the Munster Ladies Player of the Year.
Tralee Rugby’s end of season men’s senior team awards also took place on the night where Aonraí O’Donovan won Player of the Year and Ronan O’Sullivan won most improved player.
The men’s senior team of 2007/08 were also honored and presented with a small token to mark their promotion from Munster Junior D2 to D1, as they were not awarded anything at the time.
