Racing is all set to get underway at 2.30pm on both days at a venue which will have a full bar and catering facilities, trade stands and a huge line-up of kids entertainment on offer to suit all ages including Bouncy Castles, Kids Disco, Frozen characters, Face-Painting and much more.

The finishing touches are being made to Ballybeggan Park and it’s looking great ahead of the arrival of over 240 ponies and horses who will compete against each other.

This is the second year of the race-meet – last year it coincided with the Rose of Tralee festival. This year, it was decided to not run the event alongside Rose festival, so it wouldn’t clash with the many things that go on during the festival.

The racecourse bar will feature music from John Buggy and Martin Hurley, it will also be showing the weekend’s GAA action along with the Irish Derby.

The Kerry, Longford, Meath, Galway, Cork and Louth Roses will also be in attendance on the Saturday.

Sunday, June 28 will be Ladies Day with the day offering fashionistas from all over the county an opportunity to showcase their finery at a wonderful social event with the chance of winning some great prizes from Divas and Dudes and Curves.
