BALLYMAC has a new All-Ireland champion after a local girl won gold at at the weekend.
Ciara Murphy from Ballymacelligott represented Kerry in the All Ireland Community Games Finals which took place over two days at the University of Limerick.
The Scoil Nuachabháil, Gortatlea pupil won the U12 Solo Singing competition with an outstanding performance on the day.
With 23 other boys and girls representing the various counties competing against her competition was intense, but after approximately two hours of performances, Ciara, a fifth class pupil, was announced the overall winner. Well done Ciara.
