A GOOD night’s work.

A Ballymac man appeared on Winning Streak last night and won €24,000 for his mother.

Mary Bonn’s name was called out two weeks ago on the show and got her 28 year old son Alan to represent her.

Ballymac GAA player Alan was paired up with Des Cahill in a special episode of the programme with a Dancing With The Stars theme.

Des, reminiscing about his time working for The Kerryman, had great praise for Ballymac saying their were some great looking women there and some tough footballers too.

Alan is a sales representative for United Biscuits (McVities) and has always worked in the area of sales. In his spare time he owns a greyhound names Limitless One, who he trains and races occasionally at Tralee racecourse. He also owns a one month old greyhound pup who Alan is priming to be a future champion.

Mary wants to get a new car with her winnings, first and foremost, as her current motor is “like a freezer”.

As well as his mum, Mary, Alan’s dad Auty (short for Arthur) will be supporting him on Saturday. Also coming is his girlfriend of 11 years, Emma and some of his closest friends and family members.
