The lotto was held in the Halfway Bar on Monday, 26th January 2015 for a jackpot of €5,000. Numbers drawn were 10,15,16,23. There was no winner.

SENIORS

Our senior team had their first game of 2015 with a home tie against Churchill in the St. Brendan’s Board League on Sunday last. It was the away who started the better and three first half goals saw them go in at half time with a lead of 3 – 4 to 0 -5. Our lads came more into the game in the second half but it was Churchill who ran out winners on a score line of 3 – 11 to 0 – 8. Next Sunday we welcome St. Pats to Ballymac in Round 2 of this competition at 2.00pm.

JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

The draw for 2015 championship was made at a recent Co. Board meeting. Ballymac will have home advantage against Ballyduff in a game that is due to take place on the weekend of April 19th.

MINORS

Our minors also had their first outing on Sunday last with a home game to Austin Stacks. Following a high scoring game in which our lads put in a great effort we went down on a scoreline of Ballymac 3 – 8 Austin Stacks 3 – 15. Next up sees us at home to Kerins O Rahillys on Sunday next at 12pm. Please check Facebook and Twitter for any changes to any of the above fixtures.

CLUB REGISTRATION NIGHT

A Club registration night will take place in the Club rooms on Friday, 6th February 2015 from 6.45 to 9.00pm. Senior membership for the year is €50. Ballymac football Academy for both Girls & Boys will resume on Sunday 8th March at 11am. To help in the smooth running of the Club we would ask you to have your child (all age groups)registered prior to commencement. Annual cost is €25 for 1st child (Boy or Girl) & €10 per additional child (Boy or Girl) of same family. Family membership is €120. Registration forms can be downloaded from our website at www.ballymacgaa.com and may be completed beforehand or alternatively will be available on the day. We welcome new players both Girls & Boys for 2015. If you require further information please contact Coiste na nÓg registrar Willie Costello 087 6187475 or Chairman John Rice 085 7247993. For Girls registering from u10’s up please contact Ladies Board Chairman Donál Rahilly on 087 0934636 as there is an additional charge payable to LGFA for these age groups.

COSITE NA NOG AGM

At the recent Coiste na Nog AGM Jeremiah Lynch (Chairman), Mike Brosnan (Secretary) and Mary Slattery (PRO) having completed their three year term in their roles stood down from their positions. Certainly they can be proud of the work they put in during their term for the good of underage football in the Parish. The Club are greatly indebted to them for the time and effort they devoted to the football development of the young people in the Parish.

SCOR

The Coste Tra Li/St Brendan’s Board/Castleisland District finals of Scor Sinsear will take place in Kielduff Community Centre on Wednesday February 11th at 8.00pm. Ballymac will be well represented on the night with competitors in Leiriu (Novelty Act), Set Dancing, Recitation and Solo Singing. A great nights entertainment is promised and all are welcome to attend.

BROSNA
Brosnas magnificent run in the Junior Championship continued on Sunday last with a victory in their replayed semi final which now sees them heading for Croke Park on February 14th. Heartiest congrats from all in Ballymac on this great achievement.
