THE Ballymac Under 12 Girls crowned North Kerry u12 Division 3 League Champions.

U12 Ballymac team who won the U12 Div 3 League

With a squad made up with almost all of the girls under 11 Ballymac were crowned North Kerry u12 Division 3 League Champions  after winning all seven games in the division.Victories over Duagh,Churchill,Castlegregory,Annascaul,Moyvane and Dingle meant a victory over Austin Stacks in our final game would see us crowned champions.

It was the town side who dominated the first half and fully deserved their half time lead on a scoreline of 0-6 to 1-0.

However our girls came out for the second half a transformed side and scored three further goals to run out winners on a 4-4 to 0-7 scoreline. After the game Frank Mc Loughlin of the North Kerry Ladies Board presented the Cup to Ballymac captain Rachel Griffen.

The girls can now look forward to the forthcoming Co League.

Ballymac Senior Ladies

Ballymac 4-7 St Pats 2-7

The ladies Senior team had their first game at home in Ballymac on Friday 14th April against St Pats. It was a wet day but it did not dampen the spirit of the Girls that had only one thing on their mind and that was a win at home. There was good support from the side line for this historic event for Ballymac. Ballymac had a great start with Claire Kenny getting the first score on the board and eventually marked up two points. We dominated the first half but St Pats had better luck with scores then we did and at half time the score was St Pats 2-7 and Ballymac 1-3.

The girls went out in the second half with the focus to win the game. We started out well with further scores from Emma Sweeney who clocked up 2-2 and Nicola Horan who scored 2-1, Rachel Godley who scored 1 point and Eve Creedon who had a considerable work rate with eventually added a score of 1 point.

With great defending from our backs Michelle Lynch, Michaela Murphy, Tara Murphy, Grainne Kerins, Una Kerins, Niamh Rahilly, Caomhe Carroll, Rose Anne O’Shea, Lisa Curran, Maeve O’Sullivan & Robyn White and the persistence of our forwards Veronica Heaslip, Mary Healy, Eve Creedon, Rachel Godley, Emma Sweeney, Nicola Horan and Niaomi O’Sullivan and centre field Ellie McElligott and Claire Kenny we held them scoreless in the second half.

At the final whistle the cheers could be heard from stand and from the field with a win and final score for Ballymac Senior Ladies 4-7 to St Pats 2-7. This Team who was captained by Una Kerins did this club proud today..

Ballymac A 4 07 Austin Stacks A 3 17

Div 1, 5th round of County League was played last Wed 10th in Ballymac, its was the away team who got off to a flying start with 1 12 scored in first 20 mins but to the credit of Ballymac boys the never dropped their heads and eventually got up to the pace of game the rockies were playing and for next 40 mins they matched the Feile champions with pace, power and outscored Stacks 4 07 to 2 05. Best on the night were full back line of Luke O Connell, James Baily, Adam Walker and keeper Adam O Keeffe  especially when Stacks dominated and as game wore on Denis Brosnan, Adam Joy, Adam Kelly all upped the pace of their game. Valued experience is gained from playing top teams at this level and hopefully we can learn from these past 5 league games as we now take on table toppers Laune Rangers next Wed 17th in Div 1 County League semi final in KIllorglin.

Team; Adam O Keeffe, Adam Walker, James Baily, Luke O Connell, Darragh Sweeney, Denis Brosnan, Andy Rogers, Adam Kelly, Tim Pollman, Adam Joy, Sean Pollman, Dylan Barry, Adam Sheehy, Cathal Culloty, Sean Horan. Subs Ryan Mc Huge, Donal Daly, Maurice O Connell.
