SCOR
Hearties congratulations to our set dancers who were crowned County Champions at the Scor Sinsear County Finals held in Brosna on Saturday evening last. This is a much deserved victory for the team of Maria Glavin Murphy, Maura Leen, Colette Collins, Carmel Moloney, Fintan Kelly, David Long, Tom Daly, Chris Moloney and team coach Michael Murphy as they have put in hours of practice perfecting their performance. Next stop for our County Champions and their band of supporters is Cappamore, Co. Limerick on Saturday March 21st for the Munster Semi Final. Commiserations to our Leiriu who despite their best efforts on the night didn’t progress in their section.

Our young performers will get their chance to shine on Saturday evening next 28th February at 7.00pm in Knocknagoshel when they take part in the Castleisland District Scor na bPaisti competitions.

SENIOR TEAM
Our Senior Team are in action on Sunday morning next when they travel to Connolly Park to take on Austin Stacks in Round 2 of the Coiste Tra Li League. Check Facebook and Twitter during the week for throw in time. Well done to Senior player Matthew Galvin who won a Trench Cup medal in Cork last weekend with the Garda College.

MINORS
Ballymac opened their division 5 minor game campaign on Saturday last with a win against Churchill. This game was 13 aside and was played in Churchill.
The first ten minutes were even with both sides scoring two points each. Ballymac were awarded two penalties in the first half and converted one of these. The score at half time was Ballymac 1.4 Churchill 0.4

Churchill started the second half the brighter and within ten minutes having scored three points the teams were level. Ballymac responded with a goal from Cillian Brosnan. Ballymac extended their lead to four points and pushed it out further with a goal in the last five minutes. The last score went to Churchill , a goal from a penalty in the last two minutes. Ballymac ran out winners on a scoreline of Ballymac 3.6 to Churchill 1.8

CLUB REGISTRATION
A Club registration night will take place on Friday, 27th February 2015 from 7.30pm – 9.00pm in the Club rooms. Adult and Juvenile registration will be taken on the night. Adult membership of €50 with family membership €120. FAOI 16
Our U16’s play Knock/Brosna at home on Sunday next at 12noon in the Castleisland District League. Well done to U16 Daire Keane who was crowned U15 Munster Handball Championship last weekend.

FAOI 14
Our U14’s began training on Wednesday, 18th February under the guidance of team mentors Roland Rogers, Mike Broderick, Mike Brosnan and Mike Dreelan. Training for this group continues on Wednesday evenings at 6.00pm.

FAOI 6
The Green Sports Hall once again played host to our U6 boys on Saturday morning last and all the smiling faces at the end of the hour was proof of the enjoyment had by all. Next Saturday morning sees the boys meet up again at 10.00am at the same venue. New members are welcome to attend.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
Many thanks to all who donated to the Ballymac Coiste Na Nog Church gate collection at Masses last weekend. Thanks also to those who helped to take up the collection. This weekends Church gate collections is in aid of Kerry Hospice/Pallative Care.

BALLYMAC DRAMA GROUP
Ballymac Drama Group packed the Ivy Leaf theatre in Castleisland for three nights with their production of the play ‘Wedding of the Year’ Once again this group gave great entertainment to all who attended and all are looking forward already to next years production.
