U14 Boys
Our U 14 Team travelled to John Mitchell’s on Wednesday last to play the locals in Round 2 of the castleisland District League . Our boys got off to a great start and had the ball in the Mitchell’s net after 20 seconds, however Mitchell’s replied immediately with a Goal of their own . Mitchell’s struck for two more goals , before Ballymac Replied with a goal & 2 points leaving John Mitchell’s ahead by the minimum after 15 mins . However Ballymac took control and went on a scoring spree with some beautiful inter play to go in at the interval well ahead . Ballymac introduced some subs for the second half and despite playing against a stiff breeze continued to hold a firm grip on the game . Mitchell’s despite having a youthful side tried hard & were rewarded with a goal midway through the second.half . However Ballymac were not to be denied , with two wonderful saves from Kieran Slattery & 4 stunning points from Michael prendergast helped us to a comfortable win in the end .Best for Ballymac on the night were Kieran Slattery, Mossie Brennan, Niall Collins, Maurice o Connell, Skye Lynch, Tommy Palmer & Michael Prendergast. Thanks to Mitchell’s for a sporting Game & All parents for their support on the night . We now play Knock/ Brosna Daugh in the final at a time & venue to be decided .
Under 12 Girls
Our u12 girls took part in a Munster LGFA Blitz held in Ballyrickard on Saturday last.
On the day we entered two teams which gave all players maximum game time.
We played St Vals and Macroom (Cork) Castlemahon(Limerick) Legion Laune Rangers and Kerins O Rahillys in the course of the day.
Well done to the Kerins O Rahillys Club on their excellent organisation of the event on the day.
Next up for our girls is a North Kerry League Shield Final against Desmonds on Saturday evening next in Ballymac at 7pm.
