Tralee Senior Town League Final

Ballymac v Austin Stacks

A spritely game in a cool Austin Stacks park resulted in a well deserved win 1-18 to 0-10 for Austin Stacks over Ballymac. An opening onslaught from the stacks men threatened to put Ballymac to the sword but wasted chances kept the teams close. 0-9 to 0-7 near the end of the half stacks finished the stronger to put 0-5 between the teams.

Ballymac started the second half quickly with two points but only scored one for the remainder of the game as Stacks pulled away, a late goal putting the icing on the cake for them in the last ten minutes.

Next up for our Senior team we play Glenflesk at home in Ballymac in the first round of the county League at 2pm.

Minor League

BALLYMAC 5—10 LISTOWEL EMMETS 2—4

WE picked up our first County League points last Saturday evening at home against Listowel. A blustery wind blew across the pitch throughout, but this did not deter Ballymacs Donal Daly who finished with a fine tally of 3 goals.

Listowel missed some scoring chances early on, and also hit the goal frame, but once Ballymac got into their stride their was only one team in it.

Two points each from Dara Broderick and Dylan Dunne and one from Ciaran Coggins had us 5 points to one ahead after 25 minutes.

Then the game suddenly sprung to life as Listowel went upfield and goaled.Dara Broderick and Adam Kelly drove forward and Donal Daly was on hand to finish to the net.Moments later good approach work by Dara Broderick and Donal Daly resulted in the former finding the Listowel net to leave the half time score 2—5 to 1—1 in our favour.

Listowel pointed early in the second half and D Broderick got two for us. Adam Joy and Sean Horan worked very hard and put Donal Daly through for another goal.Listowel pointed once again but D Daly found the net from a tight angle.

The visitors got their second goal just after 20 minutes but straight away Jonathan Lowe replied with a goal for us.Ciaran Coggins, Dylan Dunne, and Dara Broderick got our final 3 points , Listowel getting one more. Its more County League next weekend as we are away to ST Pats.
