Update on Ballymac GAA Lotto.
Following the Government directive on Social Distancing and The GAA suspension of games and activities in March  Ballymac GAA suspended our weekly lotto.
Our lotto has been supported by all our community in various ways since it was founded over twenty years ago.
The backbone of our weekly lotto have been our local sellers, our local draw venues and our members who run the weekly draw. We also have a good number of our players who play on line.

At the moment it is not possible to run the lotto and our Jackpot stands at €7,000.00 . When the Lotto resumes all annual, multi and single tickets that are currently in the draw will be honoured for the full period eg  if you have an annual ticket bought locally from a seller you will still get the  remaining draws from the total of 50. The locally sold tickets will have the end dates changed to account for the period of time of the suspension.

In the mean time we toyed with running the lotto solely on line and felt our Club could not do this as too many people not playing on line have invested in the Jackpot etc  However from next Monday 25th May we are going to run an only on line lotto until we can get back to our normal lotto. This is totally separate from our present lotto and to facility Social Distancing it will be run totally online.

Once we get back to normal this lotto will be finished and we will continue with our normal lotto. The Jackpot of ” Ballymac Play Ball”  if not won by the time we return to full activity will be added to the  now suspended €7,000.00 jackpot.

PLAY BALL: (Ballymac On-Line only Lotto)

The option to buy on line will be on our  web site from early this coming week. Full details will be circulated on Social Media and via online newsletter  during this coming week. We will run this for the duration of the challenge of social distancing. We have been instructed byCroke Park to continue to adhere to the restrictions and to refrain from any gatherings. These measures are expected to remain in place until at least the July 20.
1. Tickets can only be bought on line via ballymacgaa.com and on the various Social Media/newsletters’ etc that will issue later this week.

2. The initial Jackpot is for  €500.00

2. Weekly Lucky dip  prize to the value of €20.00

3. The jackpot increases by €20.00 each week.

3. Numbers played from 1 to 32

4. The purchase options are: 3 lines for €5 for 1 weeks entry with an option to play for 1 draw, 5 draws, 10 draws and 16 draws.

Maximum purchase at the moment is 16 weeks.

6. The Draw will be conducted live via Facebook every Monday night at 9pm and we will use the online facility on our Clubforce application to this.
7. The Jackpot if not won will be added to Ballymac GAA Lotto when activities resume post Social Distancing.

Some Local Business Open to a New Normal this week

Some of our local businesses who have supported Ballymac GAA over the years are opening up to a new normal this week.
It has been a tough time for all our local businesses and opening up has its own worries. Monday is not the end of the Lockdown it is only the beginning of something new. We need Phase 1 to work so that we can proceed to Phase 2 on the 8th June and work even harder then to proceed onto Phase 3 & 4 & 5. We as a Community need to support our local businesses especially those who have always been so supportive of us in the past. However we must respect their “new normal” which will mean a lot of changes to facility Social Distance and also other health measures.  We must have patience and respect for everyone the staff, the new regulations and our fellow shoppers. If things are going to get better it is up to us do  our bit and respect all frontline workers and businesses.

It is also important to support and these businesses in their on line promotions by :
Liking & Sharing their page on all social media platforms
Refer their business to a friend
Leave a review on their page or write a review on your own social media tagging the business
