Our academy will finish on Sunday 17th October and we will return again in early March.  We will have more information on our last day closer to the time.

U13

Both our U13 teams were in action at home on Sunday evening last in the Central Region Competition.  Both teams played well and the results are as follows: Ballymac Gold 4-03 – Na Gael B 5-04
Ballymac Blue 5-12 Ardfert A 3-01

U15 Team.

Our U15 team lost their final last Wednesdays in the Castleisland District. This was their last game of the year and they brought great joy to the club during the year by winning a County League and a Central Region competition. The Club has two teams at u15 and it is a testament to the work of Coiste Na nÓg and The Coaching Committee over the past ten years to have this.

Just ten years ago we had to join Churchill to field an U16 team. It has been an unprecedented time for players and mentors over the past year and a half and this group work hard both on and off the pitch. They trained at home, in pods and on the pitch. We thank all the players and their parents for their commitment and loyalty all year.  You are a credit to your yourselves, parents, club and community.

A big thank you to mentors: Kieran Savage, Declan O’Connell, Patrick White and Aidan Savage. They organised training, coached, updated scores at matches, took photos and did match reports. Míle Buíochas to you all.

Ladies News

Senior Ladies

Ballymac 4:12       Glenflesk 4:08

Sunday 26th September 2021

Another top class performance from our ladies in the championship. Second win on the go. This team are building nicely. Game played at home in terrible wet conditions which to be fair didn’t impact the top quality game that was played. A credit to both teams. As seen their was unbelievable  scoring had.

We had a few younger players make the step up to senior championship and they fitted in like a glove and add pace and energy to no end. Again all 22 girls got game time and everyone mad a positive impact. This makes managements job hard when picking the team.

Great scoring done Ellie McElligot with  2:4 and young Roisin Rahilly with 2:3 all these scores made possible because of the hard working back line with leaders like Roisin Long and Grainne Galvin and in the middle Emily O Brien.

Big championship games to come against a strong Rathmore team which we look forward too.

U14 girls

Ballymac v Churchill Referee was Tadgh Murphy from Duagh

Score at the first water break

Ballymac 0 – 3 Churchill 0 – 3

Score at halftime

Ballymac 0 – 4 Churchill 0 – 4

Score at second water break

Ballymac 2 – 5 Churchill 2 – 5

Score at fulltime

Ballymac 2 – 6 Churchill 2 – 10

This was a very close game right up to the last 10 mins of the game where Churchill kept the pressure on the Ballymac kick outs and won a few turnovers which resulted in the winning points. Overall this was a fantastic game of football and was very well refereed by Tadgh Murphy.

Ballymac are looking forward to their next game against Listowel next Saturday in Listowel.
