The result was Legion 2-16   Ballymac 1-11

Well done to both team for a great game played in very warm conditions.

As this was the final round of the County League the results mean that Ballymac Seniors will remain in Division 1 football for 2023.

This is down to the hard work and dedication of our players, management and our wonderful supporters who travelled in great numbers for every game.

Academy

Sunshine and smiles aplenty in our Academy this morning. With a few extra water breaks, and a slow-down of pace, the kids had a wonderful session practicing all the skills the Kerry Senior men will need this afternoon. It won’t be long and we’ll be cheering on these kids in Croke Park!

Under 9s

Our u 9 s played against Ardfert on Thursday evening at home in ideal weather conditions.
Both clubs had 3 Teams each of 7 players which gave all players ideal game time to enhance and develop their skills over 3 games.
Isaac lynch was so proud of his point against the opposition and it  proves that his Commitment to Training has paid off as he rarely missed a session.
Taylor Brosnan proved to be a wonderful goalie with some excellent saves and his kick outs were a revelation as he found his fellow players time and time again .One of the best scores of the night was when Ruby Groves grabbed one of these kick outs and found Niall Moriarty with a neat pass who in turn delivered a beautiful hand pass to Daniel Maher who cooly slotted a beautiful point over the bar to the wonderful reception of the home crowd .
Others to impress on the night were Jason Mc Donnell, Sean Ireland , Ryan Kelliher, Scott Fitzmaurice, Daniel Maher , Euan Maguire Rian o Connor and Joey o Connor .
We look forward to meeting Dr Crokes and SPA in the remaining games in the near future.
Thanks to all parents who supported us on the night .

Ladies Report

Our Senior Ladies played a challenge game against Senior Division 1 side Na Gaeil, in preparation for our Donal Curtin Division 3 semi-final v Listowel on July 21st. This was a very useful workout and it is great to see the younger ladies integrating into the squad.

Our U14 girls were defeated on a very warm Saturday evening in Ballymac against a very strong Mitchel’s team. They kept themselves in the game for long stretches but the heat and no substitutes were the beating of them in the end, thanks go out to all the girls for doing their best especially Holly O’Neill and Tara Slattery who even though they were playing their 1st ever u14 game were exceptional. Next up is a county B final opposition and venue to be decided.

Well done to both of our Senior Ladies Goalkeepers, who both lined out for Kerry over the last week.

Robyn White started for Kerry Senior Ladies B side v Cork B in Ballyvourney

Kerry Hennessy captained Kerry U17’s in the National Development Blitz in Abbotstown, Dublin. This was also the second time this year that a Ballymacelligott lady has captained a Kerry side. Also this brings the number to 9, of Ballymac ladies who have played for Kerry this season.

Thank You to all the coaches current and past, from Academy through to Senior, who have helped make these dreams happen

Many thanks

We would like to extend our thanks to of Kerry County Council and The Department of Rural and Community Development for the grant we received as part of the Community Activities Fund 2021, which will be used to assist with essential running costs of the club.
