Ballymac Senior team

Ballymac GAA v Churchill GAA

On Saturday, in dry and blustery conditions our Senior Men’s team faced Churchill GAA in the inaugural combined Tralee/St Brendan’s board district championship in Ballymac GAA.

In the opening period – Ballymac proved the more clinical in front of the target & lead at the break 2-7 to 1-3.

From the beginning of the second period, Churchill looked to bring themselves back into the game with some valiant efforts/scores however it was the home side who reinforced their dominance with a final score of Ballymac 3-16 Churchill 2-7

Keep an eye on our social media sites for the next fixture.

Academy

Due to the bad weather Academy was cancelled on Sunday Morning, hope to see everyone next Sunday morning.

Ladies

U16 Ladies

Our U16 Ladies played Abbeydorney in Round 2 of the North Kerry Division 1 League last Thursday evening and came away with a well-deserved 3-point win, 4-14 to 4-11.

Our next game is at home to Austin Stacks on Tuesday 18th October and we would love to have a big home support as it is our last home game of the year.

Team was as follows Aoibhinn Broderick, Laura Kelly, Anna Collins, Sorcha Healy, Jamie Lee O’Connor, Rachel Griffin, Sarah Scanlon, Katie Turner, Rachel Creedon, Deborah O’Connor and Kate Collins

U14 Ladies

On a rainswept evening in hugely trying conditions our brave young ladies were unlucky to come away with a 5-point loss in the North Kerry Final.

After an exhilarating first half our very young side ran out of steam in the second half. Indeed, against a very impressive Finuge/St.Senans side which has only 2 2 players under 14 next season and we will have 18 out of our 22 available for U14 next season.

Also, it was great to see the improvement in our ladies from playing as the bottom two of the Division two years ago and playing as the top two this year.

The future is very bright for Ballymac Ladies. Squad as follows Sarah O’Rourke, Laura West, Fallyn Boyle, Sinead Scanlon, Abigail Geary, Jamie Lee O’Connor, Sorcha Healy, Emily Heffernan, Katie Turner, Michelle O’Connor, Molly O’Connor, Kate O’Neill, Eabha Jones, Fiona McCarthy, Olivia Sheahan, Natalie Turner, Alice Savage, Aoibhinn Sheehan, Aedin Healy, Tara Slattery, Olivia Sweeney and Holly O’Neill.
