SENIOR REVIEW

Our Senior team had a mixed year, with the highlights being reaching the quarter final of the Junior Championship going down to a three point defeat to eventual finalists Glenbeigh/Glencar.  This followed a good first round win over Ballyduff.  In the Coiste Tra Li Championship semi final we put in a great display before losing to reigning Senior Co. Champions  Austin Stacks in Connolly Park.

We also reached the final of St. Kierans Championship where a stronger Desmond side took the honours on the day.  The year ended in disappointment with relegation from Division 3 of the Co. League.  However, many young players were utilised on the team which gives great hopes for 2016 and beyond.   Many thanks to team mentors Stephen O Brien, Bridget Leen and John O Connor for their time given to the team during the year.

MINOR TEAM

Our minors participated in Coiste Tra Li and the Co. League minor competitions and while success eluded them they nevertheless gave their all for the Club.  Many thanks to mentors Mossie Shanahan and Aidan Breen for their work with these bunch of players.

ENTERTAINMENT EVENING

Well known entertainers Sonny Egan and Ray O Sullivan and amongst the many who will take part in an entertainment evening to be held in St. Brendan’s Community Centre Ballydwyer on Tuesday 5th January 2016 at 8.30pm.  This is a night not to be missed.  All proceeds from the evening will go towards the Kielduff Fire Fund.  Your support would be greatly appreciated.

SYMPATHY

The Club extends its sympathy to Don Brosnan, our U 6/8 Girls mentor on the recent death of his mother Nellie.  Many of Nellies grandchildren play underage football with Ballymac.  The Club also extends its sympathy to U14 boys mentor and former Coiste na nOg Secretary Michael Brosnan on the death of his mother Teresa Brosnan.
