Our Lotto sellers and draw teams are on a well deserved break until the next lotto draw which takes places in the Halfway Bar on Monday, 11th January 2016. The lotto is the main source of funding for the Club and huge debt of gratitude is owed to all who contribute to its success. A special thanks must go to our dedicated ticket sellers and to the four teams who carry out the weekly draws in the four locations within the Parish on the Monday nights. Thanks to also to the Halfway Bar, Ballygarry House, O Riadas and Glenduff House for their hosting of the weekly draws. To all who buy tickets we thank you as each purchase made goes towards the running of the Club. There are a number of ways to play our lotto, tickets can be purchased from the local ticket sellers and bars, while the option of purchasing tickets online is also available on our websitewww.ballymacgaa.com . An annual tickets for€60 is also available. This represents fantastic as it enters your ticket into the draw for 52 weeks. With the jackpot now almost €10,000 get playing….if your not in you can’t win!

COISTE NA NOG AGM

The AGM of Ballymac GAA Coiste na nOg takes place on Friday, 15th January 2016 at 7.30pm in the Club rooms. All with an interest in the development of the underage football in the Parish are welcome to attend.

WEDDING BELLS

Congratulations to former senior team player Dermot Leen and his bride Catriona Collins on their recent wedding. All of Ballymac GAA Club wish Dermot and Catriona health and happiness in their future together.

ST MARY’S BASKETBALL BLITZ

There was a big Ballymac involvement in the recent St. Mary’s Basketball Blitz held in Castleisland between Christmas and the New Year. In Division 2 Men two of our underage mentors Michael Broderick and Ruairi O Rahilly were instrumental in their ’40 Shades’ team victory with Trod picking up the MVP in this section.

At underage level TK Bobcats reached the final of the girls U14 going down narrowly in the decider. Scoil Nuachabhail and O Brennan competed in the National Schools Competitions with Scoil Nuachabhail victorious in Senior A NS Boys and Junior B NS Girls and runners up in Junior NS A boys while two O Brennan Teams Senior Girls B and Junior Boys B both reached their respective finals only to be pipped at both games. Congratulations to Tim Pollmann Daamen, Roisin Rahilly and Roisin Long all recipients of MVP awards at their respective levels.

Well done to the organisers of the event which was a resounding success.

SYMPATHY

All at Ballymac GAA Club would like to extend their sympathy to Moyvane GAA Club and to the family of former Kerry Player Paddy Curtin on his recent untimely death.
