SENIOR TEAM
Ballymac GAA Club are fortunate to have secured the services of Paud O Donoghue to train our Senior team for 2016. Paud was an outstanding forward for his Club Glenflesk and was a member of the East Kerry Team which won three Senior Co. Championships in a row (1997-1999). He also won an All Ireland Junior medal with Kerry in 1994.

Paud previously trained Glenflesk to promotion to Division 2 and also reaching the semi-final of the Intermediate Championship. Tom O Shea and Dennis O Connor will act as selectors with Paud. The first game of 2016 sees us travel to play Na Gaeil on Sunday next at 2.00pm in the first round of the St. Brendan’s league. Best wishes to management and team for the Season ahead.

SCOR SINSEAR
Austin Stacks, Ballymac, Churchill and Na Gaeil were the Clubs represented in the Scor Sinsear finals of the Coiste Tra Li / St Brendan’s Board held in St. Brendans Community Hall, Ballydwyer on Friday night last.

Ballymac were successful in two categories with our Leiriu team of Maurice O Connell, Tom O Sullivan, Fintan Kelly, Maura Leen, Nora Curran, John Brosnan, Tom Daly and Cillian Rahilly taking the honours with their excellent portrayal of events which took place during the War of Independence and Civil War. Our Set Dancing team progressed to defend their Co. title which they won last year.

Well done to Kate Kelly, Maura Leen, Karen Daly, Colette Collins, Fintan Kelly, Tom Bastible, Tom Daly and Donal Rahilly on their victory. Tom Herlihy performed in the Recitation section and was unlucky not to progress. Club Secretary Fionnan Fitzgerald was a very capable Fear an Ti on the night.

The County Final of Scor Sinsear will be held in Castleisland on Saturday, 6th February 2016.
