Ballymac GAA lotto was held in Glenduff House on Monday October 13th for a jackpot of €3,700.  Numbers drawn were 11, 13, 16, 23.  There was no winner.

SENIOR TEAM: Our Senior Teams Co League game against Brosna has been provisionally fixed for Sunday 9th November 2014 in Ballymac.   Best wishes are also extended to Senior Team Player Tom Paul Keane as he continues in his recovery from the dreaded cruciate ligament injury.

FAOI 15: Coiste Tra Lí Championship

Ballymac will play Austin Stacks next Sunday morning in Ballymac at 11am in the semi final of U15 Coiste Tra Lí Championship.

FAOI 14: Last weekend brought the curtain down on our under 14 season. Under the guidance of Tony Silles, Gene O’Keeffe, Willie Costello, Martin Lowe and Mike Dreelan training commenced in early February and 40 sessions took place altogether. We played twenty-one games, getting to three finals and winning the Central Region Division three final. We also had five players on the Castleisland District championship winning squad.

We would like to thank Ballygarry House Hotel who sponsored our jerseys, Mary Slattery, Jer Lynch all those who provided refreshments for us and everyone who supported us at games throughout the season.

We wish Eoin Culloty continued success in his recovery and hope to see everybody at our awards day on Bank Holiday Monday at Ballygarry House where we will be announcing our player of the year and our most improved player.

ACADEMY: Sunday morning was our concluding session for the current season. Many thanks to all the players for their enthusiastic participation throughout the year. Míle buíochas and well done to all the coaches and mentor for your time, energy, dedication and constant words of praise and encouragement every Sunday morning. Sincere thanks also to all who helped in the shop and provided refreshments during different occasions during the year.

A special word of thanks to the parents of the boys and girls who brought their children to the Academy every Sunday morning.

Our End of year Awards will take place in Ballygarry House Hotel on Bank Holiday Monday from 3pm with special guests on the day.

Míle Buíochas to Churchill U6 Boys for coming out today to play our boys in a few games. Players, parents, coaches and mentors all had a thoroughly enjoyable day.

CUP: O’Brennan, Flemby, Nohoval and Clogher schools welcomed The Siobhan Cotter Memorial Cup during the week much to the excitement and delight of our underage boys who were victorious for the second year in a row last week at the Churchill Blitz.

GOOD LUCK: Best Wishes to Maurice O’Connell from our U10 boys, as he plays in the final of Cuman na mBunscoile this week with his school Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn which will be played in Austin Stacks Park.

MERCHANDISE: Joanne Long will be present on Monday with the full range of Club merchandise which would make an ideal Christmas or Birthday present.  Vouchers can also be purchased on the day.  Joanne can also be contacted on 0876744334.

SCOR NA NOG: The Castleisland District Final of Scor Na nOg will take place in Knocknagoshel on Saturday, November 8th at 7.00pm.  Winners will go forward to the North Kerry Semi Final on Saturday, 15th November and the Co. Final will take place in Ballybunion on Sunday 30th November 2014.  Anyone interested in taking part please contact Club Scor Officer Anthony Curran on 0872713507.

FLAG DAY: Our Ladies Club held a flag day recently in Tralee Town Centre.  Many thanks to all who assisted with this collection and to those who contributed.

HANDBALL ALLEY: Playing handball and racket ball in heated alleys is an ideal pastime for these winter evenings. Ballymacelligott handball club are now enrolling new members interested in playing either handball or racket ball. An open evening is being held at 9pm on Monday 27th October and anybody interested can contact Dan at 0876226058

COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS: Congratulations to Ardfert on their great win in the Intermediate Co Final on Sunday last and best wishes to Austin Stacks in their quest to win the Bishop Moynihan Cup on Sunday next in the Co. Final against Mid Kerry.

SYMPATHY: The Club extends its deepest sympathy to U16 player Jerdie O Shea on the death of his grandmother Mrs Christina (Crissie) O Brien, Dromtacker.
