THIS weekend sees the annual family fun weekend to mark the Tour de Munster Partnership Spin at Ballyseedy Home & Garden Centre.

The event will see cyclists depart Ballyseedy at 10am and return later that afternoon when the entertainment will be in full swing with bouncy castles, giant games, a face painter, live music and a barbecue.

All are welcome for what should be a great family day out with Down Syndrome Ireland benefitting and the fun continues on Sunday afternoon, again from noon to 5.30pm.

The Partnership Spin marks the announcement of the charity beneficiaries of the annual 600km charity cycle which takes place every August around the six counties of Munster.

The new route for Saturday’s Partnership Spin will see the cyclists going west to take in West Kerry’s finest spots on a route which will consist of a loop out through Camp to Annascaul and back to Tralee via Castlemaine (80km).

Cyclists will pay homage to Tom Crean along the way and adventurous participants have the option to explore their limits on Caherconree and add about 8km and almost 300m of climbing.

Details of the charity partnership that sees the 17th annual Tour De Munster Charity Cycle once again “share the journey” with Down Syndrome Ireland (DSI) Munster Branches, will also be officially announced on Saturday at a Family Fun Day from 12pm – 5.30pm.

This will be the 8th successive year that the national charity has been the beneficiary of popular charity cycle, which this year takes place from Thursday 10th – Sunday 13th of August.
