WEIRD and wonderful weather we’re  having isn’t it?

The Indian Summer is being enjoyed by all, seeing temperatures soar into the 20s for this time of year.

For many who didn’t have too many work or school commitments, Banna Beach was the place to soak up the sun, while we still have it.

“It’s great to get out to the beach on days like this, it’s not often it’s like this at this time of the year so you got to make the most of it,” said Dominic Kissane, who is just one week away from starting a new year of college.

There were plenty of visitors to our area about the place too. One of them, Mona McLaughlin, from Dublin, was taking a walk across Banna strand. “The beach looks absolutely wonderful, very clean and tidy,” said Mona.

Jason and Niamh McCarthy, from Kildare are holidaying in Banna caravan park with their three daughters. “We love coming here, the beaches are amazing, we’ll definitely come back again,” said Jason McCarthy.

The good news is that early indications predict that the incredible weather is set to continue over the weekend and for much of next week.

Who would’ve thought we’d be still cranking up the barbecues and reaching for the suncream two weeks into September!
