FIVE members of the team from Meadowlands Hotel are preparing to abseil down Croke Park for a great cause this month.

Sam Nealon, Emma Hartnett, Siobhan Ní Mhathúna, Fionnuala Ní Mhathúna and Seamus O’Connor will take on the challenge on Sunday, October 20 to raise money and awareness for Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA).

They gathered for a barbecue sponsored by the Meadowlands last Friday night, where friends, family and guests enjoyed a great night of entertainment with amazing prizes to be won in a raffle, including nights in Benners Hotel Dingle, the Athlone Springs, the Meyrick Hotel and Spa in Galway and a night in The Connacht Hotel Galway.

Siobhan Ní Mhathúna said her aunt’s husband Sean O’Connor passed away from the disease and the family wanted to do something in his memory and to raise awareness and as much money as possible for the IMNDA.

She thanked the hotel’s suppliers who really got behind sponsoring the barbecue and to all who attended on the night
