Barrack Lane Is To Get A Makeover This Year

Barrack Lane is to be spruced up.

IT appears a historical laneway in town will get a makeover this year.

Members of the Ashe Street traders met with the Tralee Municipal District Operations office staff recently to discuss improving Barrack Lane, which is an important link between the Mall and the Market Quarter.

It was decided that a design to enhance the lane by providing a number of arches along the laneway which will allow additional lighting and some flower pots will be developed and costed.

This will tie in with the shared space works which will start on the Mall early this year, so expect it to be pleasantly spruced up by the summer.
