BATHING is allowed again in Fenit.
Bathing prohibited notices had been in place by Kerry County Council at Fenit Beach, Fenit Diving Boards, Inny Strand, Waterville and Waterville Town Beach since last Friday after elevated levels of E.coli were detected following scheduled water sampling.
The ban on bathing was lifted at Waterville on Monday and following receipt of water sample results back this morning and following discussions with the HSE, the bathing prohibition notices at Fenit Beach and Fenit Diving Boards have also been lifted.
