TRALEE is preparing to welcome the Tribesmen to town this Saturday and a huge crowd is expected in Austin Stack Park, especially since it’s not being shown live on TV.

Bars, restaurants and hotels can expect a welcome boost as hundreds of Galway fans are expected to make the journey south and many locals are likely to make a night of it in town after the Allianz Football League Division 1 Round 2 game which throws in at 7pm.

Kerry won the fixture by a point in Tuam last February, but the Tribesmen beat Kerry in Tralee back in February 2018 and again in July of that year in the Championship, so they will provide formidable opposition on Saturday evening.

Tickets are currently on sale, the adult pre-purchase price is €15 for general admission and tickets can be purchased from SuperValu stores, Centra stores, online at tickets.ie or in the Kerry GAA Store Killarney.

Like last year, entry to the stand is first come first seated and patrons are encouraged to arrive early.  Last year they were queuing up as early as 4.30pm for the Dublin and Mayo games which started at 7pm.

Early indications are that it will be cold but dry for the game, however, as we all know, that forecast could change over the next couple of days.

The Gardaí are asking match patrons to park at the car park beside The Rose Hotel which is only a five minute walk from Austin Stack Park and to please park responsibly following the direction of the stewards.

The match programme will be on sale at a price of €3 with the proceeds going to the upkeep and development of the Austin Stack Park.
