Kerry player Fionn Fitzgerald will be at the fITTsport event.
IT TRALEE Health and Leisure Department are set to hold a sports convention next month which will feature guest speakers, including Ireland boxing team’s sports psychologist Gerry Hussey and the Kerry’s All-Ireland winning captain and Waterford IT lecturer, Fionn Fitzgerald.
On the back of last year’s successful event, fITTsport 2015 will take place on Friday, February 13 at the Brandon Hotel and will run all day from 9:15am – 5:00pm.

One of the main draws is, Gerry Hussey, a sports psychologist who has worked closely with Munster Rugby and the Ireland boxing team at the London Olympics where his work was well documented and highly acclaimed.
A man more familiar to local followers of sport is Kerry’s 2014 All-Ireland captain, Fionn Fitzgerald, who is a lecturer in Waterford IT. Along with a famous Celtic Cross medal, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science and a Master’s degree in Sports Performance from the University of Limerick
Keynote speakers will give workshops and forums in their chosen fields of the sports industry, also appearing will be ‘fitness guru’ Pat Divilly, who is a best selling author who regular appears on RTE Radio One and Ireland AM on TV3.
Representatives from video analysis group Avenir Sports will also be in attendance, they work with among others, the Ireland soccer, Kerry GAA and the Galway senior hurling team.
