CAN you beat ‘The Chaser’? As host Bradley Walsh says on the hugely popular quiz show, “Come and have a go if you think you’re clever enough!”

Well you’ll get your chance at a special fundraising event on Friday, October 18, at The Rose Hotel when St Brendan’s NS in Blennerville put on ‘The Chaser’, an event modelled on the original show and contestants will have a chance to win up to €1,500.

It’s the first time such a show has been put on in Kerry, but the formula has worked brilliantly at fundraisers elsewhere and it promises to be a great night out.

Former Kerry GAA star, Marc Ó Sé was on hand in Skelper Quanes Bar in Blennerville to launch the event on Thursday night and to buy the first ticket.

‘The Chasers’ will be local personalities and six people will be chosen at random from the audience on the night to answer general knowledge and some local questions.

The chosen candidates can take part themselves or nominate someone to take on The Chaser to win the cash. Watch the short promo video for the event below…

There will also be an auction and raffle on the night with amazing prizes. This major school fundraiser is held in order to equip an extra classroom and to purchase much needed resources to benefit all children in Blennerville NS .

Doors open at 7pm with the show starting from 7.30pm. Tickets are €20 or four for €50 (four adults or two adults and three children) available from the school at 066-7120207, from O’Shea’s Gala, Skelper Quane’s Bar, The Station House and committee members.
