THERE’S a special event in Tralee Bay Wetlands for those who want to enjoy the Supermoon and Blue Moon event on Wednesday night.
At certain times of the year the Earth is much closer to the moon, creating a Supermoon effect.
This month the ‘Wetlands at Dusk’ tour has been blessed with two rare events, a Supermoon that is also a Blue moon.
This rarely seen event will coincide with their first dusk tour of the Wetlands for 2018, on Wednesday, January 31 at 5:30pm.
The Wetlands Dusk tour will provide a chance to get a firsthand look at nocturnal animals, including bats, hedgehogs, voles and more. People can enjoy a leisurely guided boat ride though the reedbeds as the sun goes down.
Prebooking is essential as places are limited. The event is suitable for adults and children, but children must be aged 5 or older. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Adults €10, Children €8. To book call 066 7126700.
