THE Bon Secours Hospital in Tralee is to hold a ‘Teddy Bear Hospital’ on Sunday week to get children used to a hospital setting and put their minds at ease.

The purpose of the free event is for kids to bring in their teddies to the hospital for some TLC, and for them to become familiar with a hospital setting so they are not afraid or anxious if they ever have to be  admitted themselves.

Children are invited to see what goes on, who works there and they’ll see what happens to teddy when he gets sick and the care he receives.

It seems like a great idea to set children’s minds at ease and less stressful for parents too if they have to take their kids to hospital.

The event, which takes place over two sessions on April 29, is fully booked, however, you can still keep an eye out for tickets by signing up to the Teddy Bear Hospital waiting list by clicking here. Simply, select the time you would like to attend, register and select ‘Join Waitlist’. You will receive a notification if a ticket during your selected time slot becomes available.
