AN Bord Pleanála has granted planning permission for a new bookmakers next to The Greyhound Bar on Pembroke Street.
Bar One Racing, who don’t have an presence in town yet, was granted permission last year, but this was appealed by three parties to An Bord Pleanála.
However, in a judgement published earlier this month, the body has now granted permission for the business — which operates a chain of betting offices throughout the Republic of Ireland — to set up a Tralee branch. Permission is granted for a betting office on the ground floor only.
