Last year, the trio raised €38,000 for Comfort For Chemo Kerry and this year their chosen charities are Down Syndrome Kerry and the Kerry Hospice Foundation.

Their challenge will begin at 11pm on Friday as they take on the first 30km of their 125km distance by walking the Dingle Way from Blennerville (Tralee) to Inch Beach/Annascaul Rivermouth.

This will be followed by a kayak paddle from Inch/Aunascaul rivermouth to Dingle Harbour, with the next leg being a 10km run to Ventry Beach.

The challenge then involves a cycle to An Baile Breac car park where they will commence their climb up Mt. Brandon.

The descent is via the Pater Noster lakes where they will endure a swim in one of the icy lakes before making their way to Faha car park. The final leg of this epic 24 hour endurance challenge involves cycling over the Conor Pass to arrive at the Dingle Skellig Hotel before 11pm.

This punishing challenge has been carefully planned, and all teams are committed and determined to complete this within twenty-four hours, whatever the weather will bring.

They have an ambitious fundraising goal of €70,000 with nearly €20,00 raised so far and they welcome all contributions to their gofundme page which can be accessed by clicking here.
