KERRY Fine Gael TD, Brendan Griffin has been appointed junior minister with responsibility for tourism and sport.
The Castlemaine man was promoted to the ministerial ranks today by Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, whom Deputy Griffin had supported in his bid to become party leader.
Deputy Griffin was elected to Kerry County Council in 2009 and won a seat in the 2011 General Election before retaining it last year.
