THE two elderly brothers found dead in their home in Dublin on Tuesday evening were originally from west Kerry.

Dan and William McCarthy, both aged in their seventies, were discovered in the house in the Bluebell area of west Dublin. Gardaí said foul play is not suspected in relation to the deaths.

The men were both deaf and had been living in the area for most of their lives, but were originally from Glens outside Dingle.

It is understood Dan acted as the carer for his brother. Post-mortems are being carried out today.

A member of the public raised the alarm after they were not seen for a number of days at their home in the Millrose Estate.  The men will be brought back to be laid to rest in their native Kerry in the coming days.
