Businesses Take Part In A Two-Minute Clean-Up

A NUMBER of businesses in town took part in a new initiative from GLAN Tralee this afternoon.

The ‘Two-Minute Street Clean’ saw them come out and tidy up the area around their premises. Members of the Glan Tralee team were there with the gloves and bags.

GLAN Tralee was set up in April of this year by Tralee Chamber Alliance with its main short-term goal is to make Kerry’s capital the Greenest Town in Ireland.

In more good news for the taskforce this week, Kerry County Council has signed up all council offices in Tralee to pledge to work with GLAN Tralee to make Tralee a cleaner, greener, more sustainable, pleasant place to live, work and play.

GLAN Tralee, Team Bramble and Tralee Tidy Towns, have collaborated with Kerry County Council on several clean up and awareness initiatives and look forward to working with them in the future.
