KERRY fans are getting around the problem of the rail strike in every way possible and it’s expected there will still be about 10,000 Kingdom faithful in Croker on Sunday.

Fans making the trip to Croke Park are going in their droves by car, plane or by the many coach services in the county. We spoke to one of them to ask how the strike has affected their businesses.

“We’re organising four buses and if we have to we’ll put on a fifth, as it stands now we have three extra busses going on last year’s semi-final,” said John O’Shea of O’Sheas Travel.

“A lot of the people going are regular customers, but we’ve added quite a few more because of the strike,” said John.

“In fact I’ve around six people coming up with us who are not going to the match, but need to catch flights in Dublin Airport. Talking to people, they just find it amazing that one group can bring the country to a standstill like this,” said John.

“We have three buses going up. It’s been no problem at all organising it,” said Martin Leane of the Kerry Supporters Club.

“The way we see it, the dispute has been flashed for a number of weeks now so people have had plenty of time to organise for it,” said Martin.

It seems the green and gold hordes will stop at nothing to see their team in action!
