Caherleaheen Receives Digital School Of Distinction Award

Caherleaheen NS has been awarded the Digital Schools of Distinction Award.

CAHERLEAHEEN NS was honoured on Monday when it received the Digital Schools of Distinction Award.

This is a national recognition of best practice in the use of ICT (Computing) in primary schools throughout Ireland.

Principal, Donal O’Connor was presented with the award on behalf of the school on Monday by local Tralee businessman and IT entrepreneur Alan Scroope of Freeflow.

At present, only 130 primary schools in the country hold this award which is part of the Department of Education and Skills flagship programme to promote and acknowledge best practice use of ICT, to deliver the best educational experience for pupils at primary level.
