Cake Sale In The Bons This Friday For Charity

A TASTY cake sale is to take place this Friday in Bon Secours Hospital to support local volunteers who are going Kenya in November to work for Brighter Communities Worldwide.

Joan O’Regan from Castlemorris and six other volunteers are heading off in October for a two week period to help the charity.

As Joan says herself (in the video below), there’ll be homemade cakes of the highest quality of all types — fruit, chocolate, sponge, cream, coffee cakes and apple and rhubarb tarts to name but a few.

The cake sale starts from 10am and all are invited.

The mission of Brighter Communities Worldwide is to work in partnership with communities, to deliver programmes that enrich their lives and help create better futures for them and their families.

They deliver relevant programs to meet the needs of communities and individuals ensuring access to good, affordable health care, education to help people find a job and be able to articulate their needs, an income that can sustain a family and healthier lives with a supply of clean water and better facilities.
