THE Tralee Tidy Town Group and Team Bramble are calling on everyone to take part in this Saturday’s County Clean-Up event.

As a town, Tralee has scored five Gold Medals in a row and the groups are encouraging all to keep up our standards to receive a 6th.

The Tralee Tidy Town Group are also calling on all clubs, sporting or other to come out on Saturday and join in the clean up, either in their own area or to support other volunteering groups.

The Tidy Tralee Group themselves are inviting any volunteers wishing to participate to join them at 9am Saturday morning at the McDonalds Car Park.

All gloves, pickers and bags will be provided and the group intend walking out towards the Earl of Desmond for an hour or two.

Team Bramble are meeting up on Friday at 6pm at Ballycarty Roundabout to clean the Tralee to Castleisland road entrance to the town and again on Saturday morning at 10am at the Lidl Car Park on the Castlemaine Road for cleaning the Tralee to Killarney side. Gloves and pickers will be provided.

  1. Matty O'Leary says:

Tralee is a joke. I go to Killarney and there are rubbish bins all about the town. In Tralee I walk down Denney street and other that outside KYDS there is no bins until you get to the mall? The problem is that Tralee has very little if not no rubbish bin coverage in comparison to Killarney!
Also, when I go to Fenit or Banna there is none there for most of the years! No wonder there is appeals every season to assist in the clean-up. But, the real damage is done as any environmentalist will understand that the clean-up is only the left overs and the vast majority has been swept out to sea.
Good on for The Tidy Tralee Group, if only Tralee’s Kerry County Council were as well intentioned.

  2. I personally thing keep Tralee litter free signs has worked well for the town.

Good work plan for this Saturday! Best of luck and keep safe.
