IF you passed That’s Perfect on the Mall in the past couple of days you might have noticed something on the window.

In the early hours of Sunday morning, someone decided to vandalise the window of the shop and succeeded in causing a large crack. Gardaí are investigating and looking at CCTV footage.

While it’s obviously a huge inconvenience for Carmel Russell in the shop, she decided to turn it into a Halloween decoration. She got some fake spiders to put in the centre of the cracks and now it looks like a web.

The window is not in danger of breaking or collapsing, so Carmel — who, by the way, is terrified of spiders — and Paul Hanrahan have decided to leave it up until after Halloween and then it will be replaced. Now all they need is a name for the little spider…
