NOW this was a great idea! A Causeway woman used the occasion of her birthday to raise funds for two great causes.

Caroline Houlihan recently celebrated her 40th birthday in the north Kerry village and decided to generously donate the proceeds of donations from friends and family to Temple Street Children’s Hospital in Dublin and Pieta House in Tralee.

“Her generous donation will pay fully for someone to avail of up to 20 free sessions in Pieta House in Tralee and we want to thank her for choosing Pieta House,” said Con O’Connor, who recently accepted a cheque of €940 from Caroline, on behalf of the suicide prevention and counselling service facility at Moyderwell, Tralee.
