Big €500 Win for Caherleaheen NS, Tralee in Lee Strand Cash 4 Schools Draw

Lee Strand visited Caherleaheen NS in Tralee this week to present a cheque of €500 in the Cash 4 Schools Draw. John O’Sullivan, General Manager, Lee Strand said “Once again this year Lee Strand will present a total of €2,000 to schools in Kerry & West Limerick providing much valued financial support for schools. We would like to congratulate our second €500 winner Caherleaheen NS and wish all schools the best of luck in the next two draws.”

Speaking at the presentation Mary Connolly, Principal stated “Caherleaheen is a gem of a school on the outskirts of Tralee with a wonderful school community. We have always been blessed, year in year out, with fantastic parents and a highly motivated Parent Associations. This year was another example of that. They organised Lee Strand milk to be delivered daily to our pupils and they also drove the collection of Mighty Mikey Milk tokens. The kids love the high quality Homework Journals which arrive from Lee Strand every September. So you can imagine how delighted they were when Caherleaheen won the draw. One particular boy in First Class, David Cullinan, was especially delighted because one night he and his granddad had helped his Mum count the tokens into bundles of 10. There were hundreds and hundreds of tokens! He told me they drove through heavy traffic to Lee Strand’s office to drop off the tokens, straight after school on the day of the Christmas holidays. The staff are thrilled too, because we are now even closer to reaching our fundraising target to buy Literacy Lift Off resources. This is where our Lee Strand win will be invested. It costs over €8,000. This win, when combined with our Bingo Bonanza Afternoon in The Rose Hotel on Sunday 4th Feb will bring us over the line and accelerate reading fluency and comprehension, while instilling a love of reading in all our pupils. It’s a great start to 2018 and this lucky windfall from Lee Strand heralds a great 2018 for the children, parents and staff of Caherleaheen. We can’t thank Lee Strand enough!”

To enter simply collect 10 Mighty Mikey Milk mascots printed on Lee Strand 1 Litre and pint cartons or 2 Litre plastic bottles. Post your 10 mascots along with your name, address and telephone number to: Win €500 Cash 4 Schools Competition, Lee Strand, Ballymullen, Tralee, Co. Kerry. The next draw will take place on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018. For further information please contact 066 7121084 or visit www.leestrand.ie
