Cathal Foley Pays Tribute To Toireasa Ferris As He Takes Over Her Seat On Council

KERRY Sinn Féin members ratified former Tralee Town Councillor Cathal Foley as the person to replace Toireasa Ferris on Kerry County Council at the local branch of the party’s convention in The Rose Hotel on Friday night.

Cathal Foley lives in Tralee and works as Parliamentary Assistant to Martin Ferris TD, he formerly served three terms on Tralee Town Council and is involved in many organisations in Tralee.

Speaking at the selection convention, Cathal Foley said; “It is a great honour to serve the people of Tralee LEA and I would like to thank the membership of the party for their trust in me, I would also like to pay tribute to former Councillor Toireasa Ferris who I have worked closely with for many years.”

“I know the huge volume of work that she handled as her role as a county councillor and of the very effective representation that she offered her constituents, there was no one better to fight your corner or to offer advice.”

“I hope I will be able to continue to hold those in authority to account and look forward to working with my colleagues on Kerry County Council to make our county a better place for all who live and visit here.”
