CBS The Green are looking for past pupils to join them for a their 90th anniversary celebrations at the school this autumn.

They are also hoping they will contribute their own memories and stories of their time in the school for the event which takes place on October 6 at 1.30pm.

It will also be an opportunity to view the school which will have changed enormously for many over the years and will be an opportunity to reminisce on the years spent there.

They are asking, if past students have any old photos, to scan them and email them through to 90thcelebration@thegreen.ie and to also share their stories and memories.

You can also post the stories and photos to  them or drop them into the reception at the school. They are putting together an archive of stories and photos which will be on display at the anniversary celebrations and also will be posted on their website.

A supplement celebrating 90 years of CBS The Green will be in The Kerryman a week prior to the event and some of these stories/memories and photos may be used.

They are also in the process of setting up an Alumni and hope to have this in place for the celebration.

Former students can register with the Alumni at www.thegreen.ie/alumni/ and receive emails which will inform you of their progress.

The day will also see the official opening their new all-weather pitch and at the front entrance, they will be unveiling a sculpture by Billy Leen which will contain the name of the school and the school crest.

  1. Personally think the day and time is very difficult to attend for past students I know who would love to attend.

  2. Do they think past pupils don’t work or haven’t moved up the country. A Saturday or Sunday would be more feasible for many past pupils.

  3. Yeah a Friday at half 1 is not ideal
