STAFF and pupils of CBS Primary, Clounalour, have been presented with their 2015 Tidy Towns award.

Mayor of Tralee, Tom McEllistrim, visited the school Monday morning to present them with their award.

The school was chosen as “Business Premises Award” for 2015. The award was accepted by School Principal, Denis Coleman, Green Schools Co-Ordinator, Niamh O Dowd and School Caretaker David Magnier.

Mr Coleman praised the work of David Magnier, in particular, who keeps the school grounds in meticulous condition throughout the year.

He is ably assisted by members of the Green School Committee, who have worked together to earn an impressive six Green School Flags in the past few years. They are currently working on achieving their 7th Flag.

The exterior of the school and upkeep of the mature trees and gardens was highly commended by Tralee Chamber Alliance, and is a source of great pride for all at CBS.
