IT’S been a good few weeks for students at CBS The Green in various sporting fields with four enjoying significant achievements.
In late March, 6th Year student Daire Keane of Ballymac who won an All-Ireland gold medal in the Handball Small Alley Novice (adult) competition in Co. Cavan.
Jordan Kissane continued his excellent performances in the world of athletics by winning the All-Ireland 200m Indoor title at U17 level on March 31.

Third year student Eoin Buckley broke the national record in power lifting last Saturday in the Under 15 category at Cork Institute of Technology.
He now holds both national records in 100kg height class 67.5KG and in the squat which has 131.5KG in the same height class.
Meanwhile Rapolas Buivydas has enjoyed great success on the basketball court as he was part of the Garvey’s Tralee Warriors squad which won the Men’s Superleague title a few weeks ago.
These achievements add to the success of the Russell Cup winning exploits of the footballers last week. Well done to all.
