CBS students are preparing to take on the Four Peaks challenge this Friday.

THIS Friday CBS The Green Transition Year students will climb Killarney’s Four Peaks.

The challenge has been organised as a ‘Donal Walsh memorial walk’ with the theme of the challenge being Donal’s own message of Live Life.

Donal, a student of CBS The Green, accepted his illness with incredible dignity but was saddened that others could not see how lucky they were to be healthy and to be able to do many things he would not.

Committed CBS The Green students will depart Tralee at 7am Friday morning and brace themselves for a challenge like none they have experienced before.

To remember Donal, students will carry a lantern up each of the four peaks reminding them of his inspiring message. Also, Each student will also carry a small stone to the top of each peak and create a mound in his memory.

First off will be Strickeen, followed by Heart-attack hill route up Torc closely followed by the traditional one and finally one last hike up Mangerton.

Elma Walsh, who will join them on their journey will speak to students about Donal’s Message and legacy.
